About
Decor & Dwell is a home decor resource built around one simple idea: your space doesn’t have to be big, or owned, for it to feel like yours.
We focus on renter-friendly, small-space decorating — real ideas for real apartments, studios, and rentals, where drilling into a wall isn’t an option and every square foot has to earn its place. No plastic-looking props, no advice that assumes you own the walls you’re decorating, and no ideas that only work in a 3,000-square-foot house with a garage full of storage.
Why We Started This
Most home decor content is written for homeowners. It assumes you can paint any wall, drill anywhere you like, and store a box of seasonal decorations in a basement that doesn’t exist in most apartments. If you’re renting, that advice often just doesn’t apply, and the result is a lot of small spaces that feel unfinished, even when the person living there genuinely cares about how their home looks.
Decor & Dwell exists to close that gap. Every idea here is chosen with a rental in mind first — removable, damage-free, realistic for a smaller footprint, and worth the effort even if you might move again in a year.
What You’ll Find Here
Practical, tested-style guides for decorating small apartments and rentals without losing your security deposit, organized around the things renters actually deal with: no-drill decor solutions, smart storage for tight spaces, budget-friendly styling, room-by-room ideas, and seasonal decorating that still works when you don’t have a yard, a porch, or permission to paint.
Our Approach
We’d rather give you three ideas that actually work in your space than thirty generic ones that don’t. Every guide is written to be specific and usable — real products, real methods, and honest notes about what’s worth the money and what isn’t.
Decor & Dwell may include affiliate links to products we genuinely think are worth considering. If you make a purchase through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That never changes what we recommend — we only link to things we’d suggest anyway.
